GDES 132 Project 01 — Type Poster
Project Overview — Design a typographic "Announcement" poster that utilizes your chosen typeface in combination with another one. This announcement can be on any topic you choose but it should have some connection to the typeface itself, its history, the time period when it was designed, the country of origin, purpose etc. Your research should be the driving force in determining what your Announcement is about. (A birthday for the type designer, announcing an invention or major event from the year the typeface was created etc)
Project Reflection — My design takes inspiration from the founding year of eBay and Craigslist: 1995. I paired the typeface “Adobe Jenson” with my chosen year because I liked the whimsical but elegant styling. Next time around I would play with hierarchy of the poster’s copy more and try out more iterations.
